The Foundation Test Adapter (FTA) is an accessory for the Aligner 308 that enables precise measurement of weapon foundations—before machine installation/lapping, or for verifying mechanical tolerances—even while the ship is afloat. It supports both round and square foundations, and allows measurement of tilt, flatness, and skewness in a single operation.
